Held & Main Street Mamas

October 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$155
Five Fridays 10:15-11:45am
October 25-November 22

A Collaboration between Wilder Arts and Blossom Wellness Center
In-person or hybrid: Hybrid with replays available to registrants only

Held: Navigating the Journey into M/otherhood is a 5-week series of gatherings incorporating yoga, somatic exercises, reflective writing, and conversation to help those in the first tender years of motherhood to restore, reclaim, orient and integrate in the face of this dynamic life transition.

New parenthood is challenging as it is, and society’s expectations when it comes to m/others’ bodies, careers, and relationships magnify that challenge. Part gentle yoga, part women’s circle, this series will use Jessie Harrold’s Four Elements of Radical Transformation as a foundation to understand the matrescence journey and will take an embodied approach to rebuilding the lost art of “the village”.

This series is for anyone who is a parent and is facing the social pressures of m/otherhood regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or genetic connection to their child. “New parents” typically applies to those with any children under five years old, but the series is open to those at any stage of parenting who are curious about how motherhood impacts and changes us.

This fall, in the spirit of rebuilding the village, Blossom is partnering with Wilder Arts to offer Main Street Mamas, which combines the Held course for m/others with a Mini Makers class for children at the same time, in the same building!
Wilder Arts offers downstairs: For kids ages 0-5; 3+ can be dropped off. For our young creators, Only Good Messes is an introduction to woodworking, fiber arts, sculpture and more. Each week, students will create lasting artworks using different techniques and materials—acrylic pours, clay sculpting, plaster casting, wood sculpture, or weaving. Through this sensory work and experience, children intuitively learn how to build and create with the materials around them, preparing them for future STE(A)M, hands-on learning.
Registration for just Held (no childcare) is $95.
Registration for Main Street Mamas (Held + Only Good Messes) for one m/other and one child is $155. Additional children are $60 each.
Please reach out if cost is a barrier.
